Janet Teunis is the Project Director at LowellArts, a visual and performing arts center in Lowell, Michigan. She received her BFA from the University of Michigan School of Art in 1998. She has since worked in the artistic community for the past 20 years. In 1999, she held a position at LaFontsee Galleries. In 2000, she joined the staff of the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA), where she held various roles in artistic leadership, program management, and operations. In 2013, she joined the staff at LowellArts where she manages the gallery program and marketing.
Janet is also a practicing visual artist and her paintings are included in many private and public collections including the Spectrum Heart Center and Mercantile Bank.
